ORIENTAMENTO FORMATIVO:

L’esistenza di ogni persona è incarnata: essa è improntata dei gesti espressi nel corso degli anni. Questi gesti hanno a che fare da un lato con il modo originale di essere persona, e dall’altro con le relazioni affettive, funzionali e lavorative sperimentate nell’ambiente di vita.

La persona anziana porta sedimentate nel proprio corpo la memoria e la forma di tutte le esperienze che il suo corpo ha vissuto in un lungo arco di vita. Su un piano più radicale dell’esperienza, ha sperimentato quelle forme gestuali originarie che sono il patrimonio espressivo comune a tutti gli esseri umani. Tali forme gestuali, restano disponibili in tutto l’arco della vita, pur manifestandosi secondo modalità molto differenti nel corso delle fasi fondamentali della vita stessa. Quindi la riflessione sulla condizione anziana non può prescindere dall’espressività gestuale come sua proprietà costitutiva, e l’esperienza con la persona anziana non può trascurare i modi con cui tale espressività si realizza.

Emancipandosi dal preconcetto protettivo e limitativo di gestire funzioni corporee residuali, il compito fondamentale dell’esperienza terapeutica è quello di rinnovare la relazione significativa del corpo con il proprio ambiente di vita, secondo una prospettiva fenomenologica del corpo proprio e situato. In questa prospettiva la cura dei gesti terapeutici quotidiani del terapista si riscoprono in una relazione di solidarietà radicale con la cura dei gesti possibili dei pazienti anziani.
